IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Bengaluru Section is the local IEEE unit for Karnataka and has been rated as the best regional unit across the world for 2014 among 320 regional units.
IEEE Bangalore, run by a team of competent volunteers has some very exciting programs coming up.
1. Section Student/Young Professional/Women in Engineering (SYW) Congress:
The SYW Congress is an annual event which helps its volunteers in improving their leadership and team building skills. The congress planned to be held in August, provides a platform for IEEE volunteers to interact with the IEEE Leaders and industry professionals, thus bridging the gap between the corporate world and the educational institutes.
2. IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Computing and Communication Technologies (CONECCT 2015) organized by IEEE Bangalore Section is on 10-11 July 2015. The conference will feature keynotes by distinguished researchers and technologists from the academia and industry. The conference will focus on recent advances in the fields of electronics, computing and communication. This time the TPC Committee has received 914 papers for review and accepted peer-reviewed papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. The venue of the conference is IIIT-Bangalore, Electronic City. 3. IEEE Bangalore Section Expert-Visits program engages eminent experts to visit various institutions in Karnataka. The experts are chosen based on their technical expertise and experience and the IEEE Bangalore Section would support the expenses of the expert in this service. 4. IEEE Smart Tech Metro Area Workshops, a top class professional development event, provides participants with a unique learning experience with cutting edge technical topics. These one- or two-day seminars are focused on providing an opportunity for participants to learn first-hand from the experts and designed to be a springboard to a deeper understanding of technology and its myriad applications and potential for innovation. This year the workshop would be organized on 25-26th Sep 2015 and theme would be "Smart City".
