Forging tomorrow's leaders. This is LUISS Business School's aim which it has decided to pursue, committing itself with its executive training and research program and with the support of important enterprises. GROW expresses LUISS BUSINESS SCHOOL's will to provide a qualified contribution to the common goals which the United Nations, the European Union and the G20 have already undertaken and have further stressed, that is, women's role in society.
"It is a strategic challenge for our country which requires effort and commitment in order to ensure an effective cultural transformation " - as stated by Prof. Paolo Boccardelli, Dean of LUISS Business School, remembering the School's significant role in training executive professional figures capable of facing an ongoing complex market economy.
Different relevant personalities coming from both the managerial and entrepreneurial world took part in the Steering Committee and the Advisory Board of GROW project, coordinated by Luisa Todini, President of Poste Italiane, member of BOD LUISS and President of the Steering Committee.
"Promoting female leadership in enterprises-declared Luisa Todini-other than pursuing an aim of equality and social cohesion through a gender mix, means above all contributing decisively to the development of our economic system in terms of productivity, growth and dynamism."
"LUISS's initiative promoted by LUISS Business School's Dean Paolo Boccardelli and which involves equally male and female managers, from the research word and from the professional world, has a double meaning and constitutes - in terms of method, numbers and quality -in time a challenge and a positive example that will meet a wide spread acceptance by the main Italian enterprises, contributing in a relevant way to the cultural and social transformation goals of our country."
GROW Project is the synthesis of the great commitment that LUISS Business School has decided to pursue in order to support the educational and professional development of its female students, who currently represent more than 55% of the student population.
Two training courses which are part of Grow Project started on November 14th 2016: talent program dedicated to MBA organized thanks to the support of LUISS Business School, Johnson &Johnson and Korn Ferry International that includes selection, training and working input of female talents coming from all over the world through the participation of individual and structured training course, organized in partnership with enterprises; and through Data Girls, dedicated to the female students of the Specialized Masters created to support young women interested in seizing all the opportunities coming from data management and from the digital world.
"It is a very ambitious project addressed to young women who yesterday, today and above tomorrow intend to contribute, through LUISS, at the development of our society" - states Prof. Paola Severino, Rector of LUISS Guido Carli who thanked all the participants to the initiative for their support.
