On the occasion, the staff and board members celebrated in a small get-together at the campus. Mr. Richard Biggs, Headmaster of King's College Taunton and Mr. David Boddy, International Director based out of London also arrived at the school campus located on NH10, about 90 minutes away from the New Delhi airport.
"We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching the students of King's College India. It is an experience that we will always cherish. We have no doubt that Indian students are very sharp and we are grateful for the chance of bringing our warm-hearted educational heritage to this country," remarked Headmaster, Mr. Brendan Canavan.
King's College India is a residential and day school for students from Nursery to Class XII. The boarding ethos and structures of King's College, Taunton are of tremendous value and are one of the many differentiating factors from other international schools. Boarders enjoy a high standard of house accommodation - homely common rooms and dormitories combined with sympathetic and dedicated House Parents ensure a warm hearted and happy atmosphere.
Presently the school is taking enrolments for children aged 6 to 14, mirroring the UK school system, for the next batch starting April 2018. The curriculum is Cambridge International, which generates academic excellence for children up to 13 and creates a platform for later high-performing success at IGCSE and A-levels. Experienced British educators are the lead teachers in the school providing the best of English education in India.
Ms. Ashima Narwal, Board Member said, "During the first year of operations, we have set the high standards that need to be adhered to by a British school. Those standards are different from Indian schools but add immense value to a child's education. We hope to make King's College India at par with King's College Taunton in every aspect, in the years to come."
