Propelled by the Taiwanese government's New Southbound Policy whereby India is a prominent focus, bilateral trade between the two countries reached US$6 billion in 2017, marking a 28% year-on-year increase. Over the same year, India made a total of 427 investments in Taiwan valued at US$57.17 million, investing in various fields including: information & communication, wholesale & retail, manufacturing, science & technology and more.
