The two-day exhibition and summit exclusively dedicated to supporting and promoting the growth and development of the Civil Nuclear Energy industry is one of its kind. The inauguration of INE 2016 witnessed an august gathering of dignitaries and industry leaders. The Chief Guest was the much celebrated scientist Dr. R B Grover along with an exclusive address by H.E. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France in India. The list of dignitaries also included H.E. Milan Hovorka - Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, H.E. Andrei Zhiltsov - Consul General of Russia in Mumbai, Mr. Alexey Pimenov - CEO Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM), South Asia, and Mr. Vakisasai Ramany - Senior Vice President, Development, New Nuclear Projects & Engineering EDF, France.

Ltd., from the civil nuclear industry. INE endeavours to showcase the latest offerings and technologies, including innovations, system optimizations, maintenance and condition monitoring equipment from industry suppliers for the civil nuclear industry. It also provides opportunities for national and international companies to interact and network with exhibitors from countries such as France, Russia, Canada, Korea, USA, Finland and India to tap the huge potential of domestic nuclear sector.
The event is also marked by insightful Conference Sessions on both days. Day 1 observed discussions on the theme - 'Exploring Infinity in an Atom: Vision 2032' besides a roundtable discussion on the roadmap to achieve the ambitious target of 63,000 MW by 2032. It also included panel discussions on topics such as - 'Spelling Out the Supply Chain: Manufacturer's Perspective', 'Recovering, Reprocessing and Recycling: The fundamental significance of Nuclear Fuel & Material in ensuring a smooth supply' and 'Reiterating the Obvious: The importance of Technology Transfer, Training and Skill Development'.
A number of technical presentations on key issues supplemented the discussions. B2B Speed meetings and Onsite Engagements meetings' with leading companies in the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPCs), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), System builders and End-user category also ensued.
Day 2 will be marked by a special seminar by ROSATOM on 'Public Acceptance - Role of Professional Bodies'. The topics of the sessions include, 'Ecology and Safety of Atomic Energy', 'Radiation Technologies' and 'Public Acceptance as an Integral Part of Nuclear Industry Infrastructure,' besides sessions on 'e-Portal Registration' by NPCIL and 'State Vendor Development program' by Micro Small & Medium Enterprises development Institute, Government of India (MSME).
