AHMEDABAD, India, December 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad kickstarted Christmas festivities in the city and got into the yuletide spirit with some special culinary artistry and installations by its team of chefs. The cynosure of the celebrations was a Christmas tree crafted entirely out of festive treats along with a model of Ginger Village, made of ginger bread complete with a functional windmill and toy train. These installations were opened for display and lit up by 20 specially-abled children from Apang Manav Mandal, who were awestruck by the visually delightful wonders created by the chefs.

The 10 feet tall and 7 feet wide Christmas tree was handcrafted in 3 days by a team of 13 chefs putting into use more than 5000 macarons, 5000 choux bun, 10000 cookies, and all of this topped with more than 50 kgs of royal icing. The fairy-tale, miniature model of 'Ginger Village' was created meticulously out of 100 kg of ginger bread over 13 days to evoke a fantasy land of sumptuous goodness for the invited children of Apang Manav Mandal. The Ginger Village was made complete with a 'Quixotic' windmill and the quintessential toy train. Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad's patrons, as well as the children, were captivated by these lip-smacking and picturesque creations installed in the premises. The children were then escorted by the end of the evening to the Juniper Lounge for a filling and delicious dinner in the spirit of Christmas.
