Hammond Group, Inc. Appoints New Chief Technical Officer
HAMMOND, Ind., Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Industry veteran Gordon C. Beckley has been named Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Hammond Group, Inc. (HGI).

As HGI's CTO, Mr. Beckley will be responsible for all R&D efforts now headquartered at HGI's new Lead-Acid Battery Laboratory, and will report directly to Mr. Murphy. "We have made revolutionary breakthroughs in PbA battery charge acceptance with our K2 Expanders and have committed significant investments to serve the current and emerging requirements of our battery customers," said Murphy. "Gordon's first-hand knowledge and experience in tailoring customer-specific solutions will allow us to better serve our industry in competition with Lithium-Ion for micro-hybrid vehicle and energy storage markets."
