The 5th Global Festival of Journalism was inaugurated with great pomp and show at Noida Film City to celebrate 12th February as International Day of Journalism declared by Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister and President, International Journalism Centre.

"Job of the journalists are more than reporting, a journalist is the man of masses," said H.E. Augusto Montiel, Ambassador of Venezuela to India in the capacity of Chief Guest. "Marwah should be the global goodwill ambassador for his powerful activities to unite the world," said H.E. Nejmeddine Lakhal, Designated Ambassador of Tunisia to India while inaugurating the festival.

Earlier an exhibition of paintings was inaugurated by the dignities to promote art, an important part of journalism business. Delegates representing print, radio, television, news agencies from all over India and abroad participated through out the day in workshops, seminars and master classes designed for the festival.
The festival was supported by large international organizations including International Film And Television Club, International Film Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Women's Film Forum and International Children's Film Forum. Later, Sandeep Marwah, President Marwah Studios presented life membership of International Journalism Centre to all the dignities present on the occasion. The festival is on for three days from 12th to 14th February.
