A city-wide itinerary of events and festivities are planned to get visitors into the infectious rugby spirit

A Festival for the Ages
The celebrations will kick off with the three-week-long Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Festival at Lee Gardens. From March 24 to April 8, the Causeway Bay shopping complex will be teeming with Sevens-inspired activities for fans and families alike.
One highlight is the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Fanwalk (April 6-8), offering live entertainment, street artists, food and drink, and a whole lot more for visitors browsing along Yun Ping Road.
The StreetMAZE Hunt (March 24 to April 8) will light up the paths around Lee Gardens with a series of Hong Kong culture-inspired street art. Visitors can even win prizes by playing the StreetMAZE Hunt game on the HKSEVENS app.
The Seasons restaurant will be turned into a Sevens Clubhouse (April 6-8), where guests can enjoy special drink deals, catch the games live on screen, and socialise with rugby ambassadors and VIPs.

Rugby Reggae
The Hong Kong Sevens Kick-Off Concert (April 5), starring British reggae band UB40 will celebrate the official start of the Hong Kong tournament. The veteran band will entertain fans with both their latest and all-time greatest hits.
A Ball of a Good Time
From April 3 to 8, a gigantic 25-metre inflatable rugby ball will be floating in Victoria Harbour, providing spectators with the perfect viral photo op. Last year's champions, the South African Sevens team, have been invited to pose with the 10-storey tall full-blown artifact for maximum social media impact.
The Hong Kong Sevens
Established in 1976 and organized annually by the Hong Kong Rugby Union, the Hong Kong Sevens is the world's premier international sevens event, marking its 43rd year in 2018. This year's tournament will feature 77 matches with players from 40 nations, making it the largest tournament in the World Rugby Sevens Series.
