Geokinetics Inc. and Asian Oilfield Services Sign MOU in India
HOUSTON, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Geokinetics Inc. (Geokinetics) and Asian Oilfield Services (AOSL) are pleased to announce the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement establishes the commitment of the parties to cooperate in the upcoming seismic acquisition projects recently announced by Oil India and ONGC.
The consortium leverages the global technology and expertise of Geokinetics with the local, logistical and operations experience of Asian Oilfield Services. This combination will bring an unprecedented solution set to Oil India and ONGC; allowing world-class imaging technology and applications to be used for the first time in India on the most challenging reservoirs. In addition, the relationship will place an industry leading HSE capability at the forefront of operations in India.

The first priority of the joint effort will be to promote the technical solutions that can be leveraged to solve the technical challenges expressed by Oil India and ONGC in recently announced expressions of interest. This will include a focus on HSE, as well as using state-of-the-art technology and expertise, all within a solutions framework.
