FLAMES #PadhaiAurPyaar is directed by the man behind 'The Aam Aadmi Family', Apoorv Singh Karki. About the show, Apoorv said, "After showcasing the everyday middle-class attributes in 'The Aam Aadmi Family', I wanted to try yet another universal emotion of teenage love. As a director, I wanted to transpose audience into that world where missing classes and having momos is the best feeling one can have. In addition to that, I wanted to explore the space of relationships from the point of view of a 16-year old and then deliver that to my audience. Now, it has worked or not, the audience is the best judge. Fingers crossed."
Kunal Aneja, Writer - FLAMES says, "As a team, we always wanted to create something in the romance genre. When the idea of Flames was first discussed, it gave a fresh new zeal to me as a writer because I had a chance to create and showcase the Delhi I grew up in: going to classes on rickshaws, spending time with friends at a local tikki wala, etc. Exploring something as complex as love with the innocence of that age was the most challenging and rewarding job for both me and Apoorv; the Director."
Jasdeep Singh, Writer - FLAMES says, "FLAMES gave me a chance to portray some of the flashy characters and weird Delhi situations I grew up with. I deeply resonated with the universe that we created and in that, I tried to give the audience the juiciest bits (especially the momos). I hope the audience too resonates and rewards the show with utmost warmth and love."
Karan Chadha, Vice President - Marketing & Special Projects in Marketing, Hike says, "The cute and youthful emotions expressed in FLAMES resonate with what Hike stands for - No Formality. Both Timeliners and Hike are popular with the youth and we felt that Hike could be smoothly integrated into the storyline. There has been a great response by our TG to this series and we're sure the audience will continue to love the upcoming episodes as well."
