The First-of-its-kind Security System Integrators' Conference in India Created Multiple Business Opportunities and Achieved Core Objectives for the Vendors as Well as for the Participants
UBM India, the B2B media and exhibitions company, recently concluded its inaugural edition of the security Systems Integrators' Leadership Series (ILS) 2013 successfully at Holiday Inn, Goa on May 10 under the umbrella of IFSEC India, the largest security exhibition in the country.

The three-day hosted summit (May 8-10) included technology sessions, keynote address, panel discussion, HR workshop, vendor sessions among others. The conference had best minds from the industry and the domain discussing relevant issues and future strategies.
The first-of-its-kind conference in India was a confluence of industry leaders and practitioners from the industry. It turned out to be the most influential platform to network and engage with India's 100 leading System Integrators (SI). It was strategically planned to create multiple networking and interaction opportunities to achieve and optimize SI engagement objectives.

In his opening remark, Merril Cherian, Associate Director, KPMG gave an interesting overview of the SI Community in India. The keynote address was delivered by David Gorshkov, Chairman CCTV and PSIM Standards Group at American Public Transportation Association, CEO & MD, Digital Grape Business.
David Gorshkov also chaired a panel discussion on 'Analogue or IP, What's Your Take?' This session witnessed lively debate of the direction of the industry taking the Analogue or IP route. Other panellists were Merril Cherian, Associate Director, KPMG; Roop Singh Kuntal, MD, Amron Associates Private Limited & Working Chairman (Delhi & NCR Chapter) IISSM, Council Rep. ASIS International New Delhi India Chapter; Anantharam Varayur, Managing Director, Webcom; Ashish Khare, General Manager & Business Head - System Integration Solutions, Global Infrastructure Services, Wipro; Subhasish Gupta, Country Manager - India & SAARC, Allied Telesis India Pvt. The panellists also touched upon important topics like seamless transport security, urban surveillance for safer cities, new age surveillance supplementing traditional security, in detail. The need for standards, regulations and compliance in the Indian industry for effective results were discussed.
