-- Events held in Fuzhou, Wuhan and Nanjing respectively
LUSHAN, China, Jan. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lushan Mountain is not only an ideal resort to cool off during the summer months, but also a marvelous winter destination where one can take in the area's breathtakingly beautiful ice- and snow-covered landscapes. In winter, the scenic area combines the rough-hewn look of a northern scene with the beauty of southern vistas bedecked in a blanket of ice glaze, snow, frost and ice crystals. The most enchanting part of the visit are the plants and trees each encased in thin coat of ice, giving Lushan Mountain its "world of glass" look. In order develop Lushan Mountain into a brand as a genuine winter travel destination by promoting the growing reputation of the area's ice and snow landscape as home of the most beautiful winter scenery in the southern part of China and attract more visitors to the scenic area during the winter months, Jiangxi province's Lushan Mountain Scenic Spot Administration and Lushan Tourism Development Co., Ltd, co-hosted promotional events in Fuzhou, Wuhan and Nanjing, respectively, on December 5, 9 and 12. Two nearby tourist destinations, the Wuyuan and Jingdezhen ancient kiln sites as well as Longwan Hotspring Resort, held promotional activities at the events. At each event, Lushan Mountain's marketing department presented tour packages focused on the unique local characteristics of the area as well as the preferential pricing awarded to event attendees. Locally made merchandise depicting the unique features of Lushan Mountain were handed out to the guests during the Q and A session that followed the presentation.
Nearly 700 industry executives from more than 280 travel agencies attended the event.
