EF Education First, the world leader in language training for business, government and the education sector, announced today the signing of a Letter of Acceptance with Republic of Tatarstan's Ministry of Education, taking their partnership into its second phase for another four years.
The first phase of the partnership was the co-development of Ana Tele, an online school based on EF's cloud-based platform for studying Tatar. The project aims to preserve the Tatar culture and its language which, in addition to Russian, is the official language of the Republic. Ana Tele has taught 10,000 students during its first year. The second phase involves over 40,000 students, taught by teachers provided by the Ministry, while EF provides support and maintenance of the Ana Tele school.
The Ministry's investments in language training were also recently expanded to include English training via EF's online school- training more than 5,000 teachers, students, professors, and public sector employees.
Peter Burman, President of EF Corporate Language Learning Solutions, commented: "We are extremely proud to be the long term partner of the Republic of Tatarstan in these prestigious projects."
