The new office will support the delivery of global information technology services through DST Worldwide Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DST.
The Pune office will open with an initial capacity of over 500 seats, with full operations commencing in first quarter 2014. According to Krish Krishnan, President of DST Worldwide Services, the Pune location provides access to a new workforce across several competency areas, in addition to meeting an in-country Business Continuity Planning (BCP) objective.
"We considered other cities across India, and Pune provides us the greatest ability to leverage specific talent available in a location," says Krishnan. "Given our aggressive growth trajectory, we are very excited to expand to a second site in India."
DST Worldwide Services currently employs nearly 1,500 associates at its other India location in Hyderabad to handle mission-critical information technology and processing functions for clients. In addition to its significant India operations, DST also has offices in Thailand and the U.S.
