Delta Electronics Wins iF Design Award 2016 for the Golden Eagle and NovoPRO & Launcher
TAIPEI, Taiwan, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Electronics' outstanding industrial design ability was acknowledged once again with two of its products winning the iF Design Award 2016. Delta's Golden Eagle power supply, designed for 4G LTE outdoor applications, was recognized with the iF Design Award 2016 after already achieving a Red Dot Award in 2015. It is the first to receive two top international design awards for a telecom power product. Delta's NovoPRO & Launcher, a wireless interactive presentation and collaboration solution, also won an iF Design Award 2016.
"Golden Eagle, through its built-in full functionality with stylish and self-contained design, is a radical revolution from the conventional image of telecom power products," said Kelvin Huang, General Manager of Delta's Telecom Power Solutions Business Unit. The Golden Eagle has been adopted by NTT DOCOMO, Japan's largest mobile service provider, and was selected by leading customers in the USA for new small cell site deployment. It is clearly recognized as the preferred solution for mobile base station applications.
The Golden Eagle power supply is intended for 4G LTE outdoor applications. Its light and compact design perfectly matches today's changing urban environment. The elegant streamlined cover provides water and dust protection (IP65) that makes it the ideal power supply for outdoor small cell applications. With its innovative technology and natural cooling design, the unit achieves an energy conversion efficiency of 96% and power density of 5.3W/in[3] and sets a new milestone in the industry. Through its embedded battery management module, the backup batteries could be directly controlled. The Golden Eagle helps telecom service providers reduce energy consumption by up to 20% and lower their operational expenditures considerably.
Delta has recently introduced another innovative product, NovoPRO, which is also an award-winner. It can be used for digital teaching and learning via various mobile devices and cloud resources. Today, people are using tablets, mobile phones, laptops and other mobile devices in their daily lives, at school, and in the workplace. However, our classrooms and meeting rooms still lack the tools to fully utilize these personal electronic devices. The NovoPRO offers the best way to link mobile devices and display solutions for simultaneous information sharing. Designed with unique capabilities and features for both education customers and corporate users, it allows teachers and students to interact easily and share digital content in the classroom, and it also provides an ideal platform for collaboration in the corporate environment. The Launcher device connects mobile devices and displays without the need to install software. These outstanding design capabilities assured NovoPRO & Launcher's win of this year's iF Design Award.
Delta is dedicated to improving product performance, features, and design, and is a frequent recipient of international design awards. In the past year, Delta has received Red Dot Awards, Good Design Awards (G-Mark), and iF Design Awards for a diverse range of products.
