A grand curtain raiser function was designed at the campus of Marwah Studios to project the highlights of the festival. A team of the feature film, Tum Bin II was present there to add glamour to the event.

Global Film Festival Noida has been rated as one of the most happening film festivals. As in the past, more than 50 events have been planned in this three-day festival scheduled from 17th to 19th November, 2016.
The festival consisted of workshops, master classes, seminars, interactions, screening of films, retrospectives, exhibitions, entertainment programs, fashion shows and award functions.

Tum Bin II is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film, written, co-produced and directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Bhushan Kumar, under the T-Series banner. The film is a sequel to the 2001 romantic drama film Tum Bin.
Legendary film star Shatughan Sinha inaugurated the 9th Global Film Festival Noida. Aditya Seal, Aashim Gulati and renowned singer and music director Ankit Tewari also spoke on the occasion. Ankit Tewari mesmerized the audience with his songs. The distinguished guests released the new poster of the festival.
Shajia Shojaei and Qurban Ali Mirzaaee from Afghanistan, Dominique Swain from Hollywood USA, Edit Osko and Ferenc Borbely from Hungary, Sarah Victoria and Stephan Perdekamp were part of the 9th GFFN.
