Canadian International School (CIS) Bangalore, organized its annual Graduation Day ceremony for its outgoing batch, 'Class of 2018'. A total of 82 students graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, the largest batch to date at CIS.

The event began with the graduating students participating in the ceremonial procession, clad in graduation gowns and caps. The opening speech was given by Mr. Shane Kells, Head of School and the chief guest for the occasion, Ms. Jahnavi Rudrakshala, an alumnus of CIS, addressed the students and participated in the traditional lighting of the lamp. Ms. Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, CIS also addressed the occasion.
The school presented various awards to the students in recognition of their academic achievements including the CAS Award, IB Learner Profile Award, and the Valedictorian Award. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shweta Sastri said, "It is a proud moment in the history of CIS to see our largest batch of 82 students graduate high school. We wish them success in their future endeavors."
There was a scene of festivities at Canadian International School on Friday evening. Students celebrated the occasion with emotional moments, group photos, and selfies. Family members were also present to encourage their wards and witness the grand spectacle.
The students of the graduating 'Class of 2018' have received an aggregate of US$ 2 Million in scholarships. Apart from that, students have also secured admissions into top universities around the world. Students will be proceeding to established schools like New York University, Cardiff University, University of California, London School of Economics, University of Amsterdam, Purdue University, University of Sussex, and more around the world.
