BANGALORE, July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Champions Group Announces 10K Corporate Relay Run in the July 26 Bengaluru 'Go Green Run', Giving Companies Unique Opportunity to Create Brand Awareness
Giving corporate entities a unique opportunity to improve their brand visibility and even encourage team-building, Champions Group, a leading business conglomerate diversified in multiple divisions of businesses like digital, experiential travel, real estate, data digitisation and marketing, cloud analytics and retail, has now taken its 'Go Green' initiative to the next level. It intends to position it as a game changer through the Bengaluru 'Go Green Run' by targeting the corporate sector.
Bengaluru, India's IT and outsourcing capital, has of late been hosting various marathons regularly and its citizens have been enthusiastically participating in large numbers. What started as a humble inception or an initiation has grown to a wide participatory audience now.
Organisations, particularly from the IT, ITES and BT sectors, look forward to actively participate in these corporate marathons to improve their brand visibility and even team-building. This effectively demonstrates their passion towards corporate social responsibility initiative by associating with the city's growing issues.
The leading sponsors for this event, includes Strategic Marketing Services as its marketing sponsor, Span Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. as its data partner, IP Momentum as its VoIP partner, Decathlon as its venue partner, Manipal Hospital as its health partner, Cirrologix as its cloud partner, Champions Yacht Club as its cruise partner and lastly Aaboli as it clothes and apparel partner.
Mr Subhakar Rao Surapaneni, Chief Mentor & Chairman, Champions Group, said, "It is no coincidence that Namma Bengaluru has achieved this tolerant distinction of being called the 'Go Green Knowledge Capital' of the new global village world and is the summation of the hard work, perseverance and tenacity of our young dynamic workforce who work round the clock to keep our economy growing. Bengaluru city, however, has become a concrete dense jungle and it's time to 'Go Green'.
"It is time to make our city greener. We look forward to active participation in the 'Go Green Run' and each runner will get to take home a green plant, which they can plant, to contribute to a better eco-planet, said Prajwal Viswanath, PR Head, Champions Group.
The 'Go Green Run' will cover the 10 km boundary area around Sarjapur with the finish line at Champions ground opposite Decathlon. There will be 5-km, 10-km and 2-km runs, as well as corporate relay for both men and women.
"This year we expect an even larger participation and excitement," said Boopesh Reddy, CEO, Bren Corporation. Reddy is exuberant that his corporation is part of such a benevolent initiative. Apart from this, a large number of NGOs and their celebrity supporters have also been encouraged to participate in these marathons, to raise funds and thus create awareness for their cause.
What can participants look forward to on Saturday
The Corporate Relay run is an innovative add-on to the event, created as a part of the Bengaluru 'Go Green Run'. The relay gives corporate entities a unique opportunity to participate in the marathon as a team of four. The teams have to complete the marathon by dividing the 10K run distance between four (4) people x 2.5-km each.
Why Corporate Relay?
A 10K run could be a tough, arduous race and might hinder most corporate executives in completing the race; thus the team event where the distance is evenly shared, endured and completed by a four-person team will help the team members to bond and encourage each other.
"The initiative gives corporate entities a chance to participate in the 'Go Green Run' as a team and fulfil their team building and brand objectives at once. The event is open for participation to all corporate entities that either have a base in Bengaluru or are based out of 'Namma Bengaluru'," said Pradip Patil, Business Development Director, Champions Group.
Unique opportunity to showcase
Champions Group's commitment to going green spans from business digitisation to digital marketing to green home projects and even eco-tourism as well.
Through this initiative it aims to showcase their focus on protecting the environment while growing a robust group of scalable green branding initiative companies. The 'Go Green Run' event also provides an excellent one-stop opportunity for organisations, as there are various tailor-made solutions for three critical requirements:
a. Corporate Social Responsibility i.e. S.H.E policy (Safety, Health and Environment Policy)
Organisations have realised their roles and responsibilities towards making the society greener where they operate in. This event, apart from being for charitable and noble causes like helping Uttarakhand flood relief, also provides a common platform for corporates to interact and be involved with society.
b. Employee Engagement Initiatives
A team that plays together stays together. A 10K group run is one of the greatest opportunities, as it is one of those rare events that has the whole team playing together to win, irrespective of age, sex, background or skill sets as the common ultimatum is "It's all about the win that eventually matters," says Colonel Govind Rajulu, COO, Champions Group.
c. Niche Brand Building Initiatives
Participating in the corporate relay or group run is a great innovative way to promote your brand logo. Your team running in t-shirts with BIBS positioning your company logos in diverse colours attracts a lot of attention.
If they win then the bonus is that the media will write about your team and the success story behind it. In this noteworthy regard, we at Champions Group would like to take this as a common podium to invite all Bengaluru companies to come join the 'Go Green Run' and help for a cause to 'Make the city greener'.
"The contribution will go towards Uttarakhand flood relief. Also, each participant will take home a green plant, which they can later plant in their homes," added Subhakar Rao Surapaneni , Chief Mentor & CEO, Champions Group.
Make July 26th a corporate FUN bonding day for your company and team and ride some exciting ATVs as well after the Race @BREN Champions site, located opposite Decathlon, Sarjapur.
