Applications for Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF) Awards 2018 are now Open

MIF Awards is one of India's pre-eminent biennial recognition platforms that recognize unheralded innovations within the Indian business and social sectors   

Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF), a not-for-profit organization in India, executing the Corporate Social Responsibility for Marico Ltd., is inviting applications for the 7th edition of the MIF Awards to be held on February 23, 2018, in Mumbai.

The MIF Awards aim to nurture innovation in India by recognizing breakthrough innovations that hold potential to generate a large scale impact. Innovations will be adjudged upon three broad categories - Social Impact, Business Impact and the newly-introduced Innovations by Start-ups, a first-of-its-kind to encourage newer enterprises to innovate.

The MIF platform allows participants a chance to showcase their innovation to a power-packed audience and receive media and industry exposure for their innovation. Innovators receive an opportunity to learn from leading innovators in the business and social ecosystem and cross-pollinate learnings and ideas. Participants avail the chance to network with the top CXO's and innovation heads from India Inc., entrepreneurs, venture funds and academia closely linked with the innovation ecosystem in India.

The applications for the MIF Awards 2018 have commenced today, the last date of application being August 22, 2017. An online application form must be duly filled and submitted in order to participate. There is no application fee for the Awards. Applications will be shortlisted through a due-diligence process and a two-round deliberation with the jury that will be chaired by Dr. R.A. Mashelkar. The final winners will be selected on basis of the commercial viability of the innovation and impact generated.

Some of the past jury members include Anu Aga, winner of Padma Shri for social work and Paul Basil, Founder and CEO at Villgro Innovations Foundation. Ltd., GIBSS and Concept Medical Research while some of the past Awardees of the Social Category are Akshaya Patra Foundation, Teach for India and Azim Premji Foundation.
