Mr. Lea holds the senior management responsibility for all aspects of the organization, overseeing the global operations of the extended Copper Alliance™ across six continents. Anthony (Tony) will continue the process of organizational, strategic and program improvement initiated by ICA's members in 2014.
Tony previously served for 12 years as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning, within the ICA, a position that provided him with a unique perspective on the challenges faced in the end-use markets for copper and a wealth of experience in conducting programs to develop and defend copper use. Tony holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Imperial College of Science and Technology, both in the United Kingdom.
"I am confident that under Tony's leadership ICA will continue to provide great value to the copper industry by promoting and defending copper markets and developing a positive image for copper among its wide range of stakeholder communities," said Jean-Sebastien Jacques, Chairman of the ICA Board of Directors. "On behalf of the ICA Board, I am pleased to welcome Tony into his new position, and I am confident he will lead the ICA as a strong advocate for the copper industry."
