With the International Yoga Day inching closer, the stage is being set in Kota to host one of the biggest international events on the world's calendar. This city of Rajasthan is all set to make an attempt to create a World Record by organizing a series of Yoga events.

For about a month, Kota has been in the yoga frenzy, especially after Baba Ramdev confirmed his presence in the education capital of India. Most of those encouraging people to participate in this event in order to create a world record have till date organized camps at 500 locations, within Kota city.

"The idea of making it to the Guinness Book of World Records is definitely commendable. It will help in re-branding the city, which till date is famous for its coaching centers. We have been training our students to participate in this mega event, which aims at gathering a maximum number of participants at a specified venue to perform yoga asanas and with this soon Kota will also be known as Yoga City too. At present, Mysore holds the record for having as many as 55,000 people perform yoga, and we are looking forward to break this record with Allen’s 72,000 students and citizens of Kota city," said Maheshwari.
