Participates in International Conference 'Vision 2025 Sugar' Organised by Vasantdada Sugar Institute
Alfa Laval participated and set up an exhibition to demonstrate its Plates for AlfaVap, AlfaCond, WideGap PHE's and a Decanter model at the international conference organized by Vasantdada Sugar Institute. Vasantdada Sugar Institute is a renowned institute dedicated to research and development of various sugarcane species to achieve higher yield and improve farm productivity. The institute organized International conference and exhibition at their Pune campus from 13th to 16th November on the occasion of 100th Birth anniversary of their founder former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Late Mr. Vasantdada Patil.

The event was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi and dignitaries like Maharashtra's Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadanvis, VSI Chairman Mr. Sharad Pawar and various cabinet ministers of Central and State Government were present during the inauguration.
The decanter was introduced in the sugar industry by Alfa Laval India and the decanters supplied to the sugar industry till date contribute to generation of 500 MW of additional power. A part of the power produced from the bagasse saved through use of decanter is used in the regular operation of the sugar mill thus leading to power-saving(energy efficiency). The balance part of power produced from bagasse saved is supplied to the grid of State Electricity Boards.
The exhibition is an important exhibition held for sugar, distillery and agriculture industries. Engineering contractors, system builders, sugar mill owners, end users, key contractors and engineering consultants visited the Alfa Laval stall during these three days. An estimated number of 3,000 delegates visited the Alfa Laval stall.
