AirFuel Alliance Appoints Jim Perrott as Head of Global Market Development
Former Qualcomm Executive and Wireless Charging Expert to Drive Market Adoption and Implementation for AirFuel technologies
PORTLAND, Oregon, April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The AirFuel™ Alliance, a global consortium of industry leaders focused on enabling and accelerating the adoption of wireless power technology, today announced that Jim Perrott has joined the organization as the Head of Global Market Development. In this role, Jim will drive adoption of AirFuel's industry-leading technologies and broaden relationships with key companies in the consumer electronics, technology and public infrastructure spaces.

Jim will help the Alliance grow even more by leveraging his more than 30 years of experience in device and technology development, marketing and sales. He previously was the Senior Director for Qualcomm's consumer resonant wireless power solution, WiPower™, where he was responsible for leading business development and customer engagements. Jim was also a founding member of the Alliance for Wireless Power/A4WP – which later merged with PMA to form the AirFuel Alliance – and personally recruited over 150 of the 190-member consortium.

Prior to joining Qualcomm, Jim held several senior positions including SVP of Sales, Marketing and Engineering at Netlist, where he led the development of Netlist's first custom IC products intended for the high bandwidth datacenter memory solutions; VP of Sales at Luxtera, an industry leader of integrated silicon waveguides for communications solutions and as VP of Sales at Applied Micro Circuit Corp where he was responsible for more than $400M in revenue.
Jim got his start in the semiconductor market as a manufacturer's representative where he operated his own company for 10 years during which time he won numerous awards for design wins and sales. Jim is also a veteran having served as Captain in a U.S. Army Armored Cavalry Squadron. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
