Aditazz expands its global reach with a Cancer Research Hospital win for the Li Ka Shing foundation
SAN BRUNO, California, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aditazz announced its international expansion by winning the landmark Cancer Research Hospital project at Shantou University, China, sponsored by the Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF), a premier charitable institution with education and healthcare as its primary focus.
The stark reality of a high incident rate of cancer confronts China-- six patients are diagnosed with cancer every minute according to the 2012 China Cancer Census. There is however a growing need for cancer research focused on prevention, early detection and treatment specific to the local conditions.
"The Aditazz services and technology promise to be a more efficient and cost effective way to extend our charitable resources to solving the basic need of improved health" said Dr. Frieda Law, speaking on behalf of LKSF. "We are eager to apply Silicon Valley innovation and technology to creating healthcare infrastructure that paves the path to a quantum improvement in the quality of patient care while minimizing capital and operating costs."
Continuing its momentum and commitment to integrate innovations in design, technology and manufacturing while solving complex infrastructure problems, Aditazz is uniquely positioned to address the staggering challenges of healthcare construction in China. Elaborating on the significance of the project, Deepak Aatresh, Aditazz co-founder said, "This win gives Aditazz yet another opportunity to apply its one-of-a-kind patented solution to a problem of enormous magnitude. Healthcare is a global challenge. We are delighted to be selected due to our unique ability to bring scalable technology and services to address this challenge of global scale."
Shantou University Medical College Cancer Hospital professor, Dr. Guo-Jun Zhang, highlighted the Silicon Valley allure: "We are excited to launch the project with the much needed multi-disciplinary collaboration between design, construction, and healthcare experts from around the globe; all stitched together with the innovative Aditazz approach.
