Notably, UTP has achieved a historic milestone by securing the position as Malaysia's number one university and emerging as the top private university in ASEAN in THE Asia University Rankings 2023. UTP's excellent performance in the rankings is attributed to its top-performing domains: Citation, Academic Reputation, and Employer Reputation. Furthermore, UTP, a 26-year-old institution, achieved a remarkable feat in THE Young University Rankings 2023. UTP excels in the Research and International Outlook domains, receiving the highest scores in the nation.

The rankings evaluated universities worldwide that are aged 50 years or younger.
