Nippon Express (Taiwan) Holds Scholarship Award Ceremony at National Taiwan Ocean University

TOKYO, July 18, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Nippon Express (Taiwan) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "NX Taiwan"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., held a scholarship award ceremony at National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) on Tuesday, June 13.

Founded in Keelung, Taiwan, in 1953, NTOU focuses on education in oceanography and fisheries-related fields in Taiwan.

With the aim of strengthening ties between industry and academia in Taiwan, NX Taiwan has been working with NTOU since 2018 to administer a scholarship program that promotes human capital development in the logistics industry. This year's award was given to six students who have conducted outstanding research on trends in international logistics and on the fusion of academic learning and hands-on practice.

NX Taiwan President Masaru Kawamoto offered warm words of encouragement to these students, assuring them that "deeply understanding the logistics industry and broadening your perspective will contribute to the development of Taiwanese society, which falls perfectly in line with the corporate philosophy that we strive to embody."

The Nippon Express Group will continue actively engaging in social contribution activities in the East Asia region to help develop human resources who can play active roles in the logistics industry.
