2023 Ideathon Announces Global Open Call in July
TAIPEI, May 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The second Ideathon, founded by "Ministry of Digital Affairs" in Taiwan in 2022, will be executed by Taiwan Design Research Institute. Staying true to WeWe Futures values in the inaugural edition, the theme this year expands to "Diversity & Inclusion in 2040". It's an invitation to everyone to envision the potential future when we are fully embraced by diversity and inclusion across lifestyles, generations, nationalities, communities, and environments.
Aggregate creative ideas in Asia to Taiwan
After over three years of COVID-19 pandemic, 2023 is special that borders are reopened for in-person engagement. 2023 Ideathon Open Call roadshow first visits Bangkok, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, and Osaka to invite creators in Asia. Due to geographic proximity, Taiwan and Thailand interact frequently on multiple levels. Also, Taiwan and Thailand are both committed leaders in Asia to creative industries. Therefore, Bangkok is selected as the first stop in the roadshow with a symbolic significance.
Imagine the future with creative minds in Taiwan and Thailand
The first event in Thailand was held on Monday,8th May, at Chulalongkorn University College of Architecture Library. Another session have held at Thailand Creative & Design Center on Tuesday, 9th May, in coordination with Golden Pin Design Awards from Taiwan. Besides explaining rules and regulations for Ideathon, renowned Thai designer Sanitas Pradittasnee are invited to both events as a speaker. Sanitas has been active in art and design. Her architectural pieces always strive to balance between creative ideas and local environments. These vivid and lively works inspire people to imagine towards what 2040 can become. She also discussed with participants about their questions for better understandings.
Global open call will begin on July 1st, online only
The open call will be open from 10:00 on July 1st, 2023 to 17:00 on July 31st, 2023 (GMT+8) to interested creators worldwide.
