Zander Insurance Donates $20,000 to Operation Homefront

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Zander Insurance announced the donation of $20,000 to Operation Homefront, a national non-profit organization providing emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members and wounded veterans.

"Our service members, wounded warriors, and their families need support now more than ever," said Jim Knotts, President and CEO of Operation Homefront. "Zander Insurance's generous donations help these dedicated heroes know that while they are protecting us, someone back home is looking out for them and their families. During the month of December, Zander Insurance collected 25 percent of all Identity Theft Protection sales to donate to Operation Homefront.  The Zander Identity Theft Protection program covers all types of ID Theft, including Social Security Fraud, Medical ID Theft, Employment and Benefit Fraud, Family Fraud, and even criminal activity.  The program works to restore a victim's identity and has a 100 percent recovery success rate.

"As we welcome our service members back home this year we are committed to making sure these heroes and their families are taken care of," said Jeffrey Zander, President of Zander Insurance.  "This cause is especially close to our hearts as over half of our employees have family members who are either currently serving or have served our country."

In 2010, Zander Insurance donated ten percent of its Identity Theft Protection sales, totaling $10,000, to Operation Homefront.  This year's donation is a part of Zander Insurance's larger giving campaign focused on assisting service members and educating their children about financial responsibility.  Since 2008, Zander Insurance has sponsored $60,000 of Dave Ramsey's Foundations in Personal Finance school curriculum, providing thousands of students the opportunity to learn Ramsey's financial principles early in life.
