Z Capital Group Announces Alexander Apponyi as a Managing Director, European Head of Investor Development

NEW YORK, July 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Z Capital Group, L.L.C. ("Z Capital"), a leading alternative asset manager focused on opportunistic, value-oriented private equity and credit funds, today announced the appointment of Alexander Apponyi as a Managing Director and European Head of Investor Development. Mr. Apponyi will be based in London and will lead Z Capital's European investor development efforts.

Mr. Apponyi joins Z Capital from Jefferies International, where he served as the European Head of the firm's Private Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Apponyi led origination efforts in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and worked on more than $14 billion in fund placements and private financings. Prior to his time at Jefferies, Mr. Apponyi held several senior capital raising roles at Brookfield Asset Management, BerchWood Partners and UBS Investment Bank, in which he built deep relationships with numerous institutional investors and gained substantial experience across various alternative investment platforms. Additionally, Mr. Apponyi founded Bastion Advisors, a primary alternative capital-raising firm, and co-founded Adhan Partners, a secondary liquidity solutions firm for private equity and real estate clients.
