JASPER, Ind., Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Several new additions to Kimball(R) Office's Villa(TM) lounge are now available for order. "Villa was designed with the idea of building blocks, and we are excited to expand its offering to further meet facility managers' and designers' need for a more extensive lounge solution that is truly flexible, can navigate around interior structures, and can cater to children," said Allen Parker, Vice President of Marketing, Products, and Sales for Kimball Office. "In addition to commercial business settings, by offering youth units, the Kimball Office Villa lounge sets itself apart as a full-service seating option for education and healthcare environments."
Villa Youth includes benches, ottomans, and one- and two-seat options without arms; all pieces can be joined seamlessly with full-size units. "Kimball Office is the only contract office furniture manufacturer to provide a seating solution that encourages children to sit together with their parent or guardian. We recognized the need to design youth seating that integrated with full-size pieces in the environment, provided a similar aesthetic, and offered comfort to adults and kids," said Parker.
Villa's most notable characteristic is its flexibility for creating free-form lounge configurations, of any size, ideal for open plans and lounge settings. The following introductions further the collection's ability to provide flexible solutions.
- Privacy back — This addition offers facility managers and designers the opportunity to divide space into separate brainstorming, meeting, or social spaces, while maintaining the look and feel of an open plan.
- Crescents — New 45-degree crescent seats and benches provides design professionals with greater opportunities to create functional and creative seating arrangements that can easily flow around obstacles.
- Five-inch Arm Models — Available for those applications where a more substantial arm top surface is desired, the new five-inch arm model offers users a firmer grasp when moving in and out of the seat, and provides a larger surface to balance users' books, a laptop, or other technology.
- Soft Seat Cushions — In some applications, a softer sit is desired. Facility managers and designers have a choice of a soft seat or standard (firm) seat cushion for all Villa lounge pieces, except Villa Youth.
- Power/data/USB — Perks power/data/USB modules may be used in Villa tables — in-line or freestanding — to support users' need for power and data in lounge, casual, and open plan settings.
- Tables and Storage — New table options increase Villa's ability to serve as a one-source lounge solution, with a variety of sizes, styles, and open storage choices.
Villa's naturally crisp lines offer separation for efficient space division, and a full range of upholstery and leather options are available with the option to upholster backs, arms, and seats separately, to delineate space through color. Bleach-cleanable and anti-microbial fabrics are also available for easy cleaning and maintenance. Additional options include the choice of plateau tables, tablet arms, and a soft or standard seat.
Villa is Scientific Certification Systems Indoor Advantage(TM) Gold and American National Standards Institute/Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association level(R) 2 certified and tables are certified to level 3.
