Les Petits Chanteurs de Monaco/Little Singers of Monaco, a world-renowned choir of young men from 12-21 years who have performed in thirty-five countries around the globe under the patronage of the Prince of Monaco, will be giving concerts from New York to Florida
The first known vocal group with children's voices in Monaco dates back to the reign of Prince Antoine 1st (1701 - 1731); considered the "ancestor" of the Little Singers of Monaco, the official choir of Monaco Cathedral. Les Petits Chanteurs are conducted by Pierre Debat who also conducts the adult choir and is the organist of Monaco Cathedral. In 1999 he succeeded his father who had conducted the choir for some 26 years.
Les Petits Chanteurs have performed in concerts for many world leaders, including the Pope, US Presidents, to the delegates at the 30th UNESCO General Conference in Paris, at the Kennedy Centre, at the United Nations and even the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. They are recognized by choral music aficionados as one of the foremost ensembles of their kind in the world. This is a "must see" concert for all lovers of fine choral music.
The late Prince Rainier gave his "little singing Ambassadors" as he affectionately called them, a badge bearing his coat of arms which they wear over their hearts during their many concerts.
Over the years this world famous choir has entertained people on every continent. Let them entertain you with their wonderful varied repertoire.
