WiSpots to Remain Independent WiFi Interactive Media Technology Company
No Longer Affiliated with WiFiciency, Merger Called Off
CARY, N.C., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Kevin Flannery, founder, CEO and president of WiSpots, Inc., has announced that a planned merger of the organization into the holding company he co-founded currently known as WiFiciency, Inc. will not be transpiring, and that WiSpots is no longer affiliated with WiFiciency.
WiSpots, which provides advertiser-supported wireless access, WiPads and Patient Interaction Centers (PICs) in medical wait environments, check-in areas and exam rooms, is still aggressively pursuing new customers, partners and investors for its unique and proprietary technology. WiSpots' PICs are presently in use at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates locations throughout Central North Carolina and in several other locations.
"We felt it was in the best interests of WiSpots and our ability to improve the model, delivery and acceptance of our solutions to remain a separate company," said Flannery. "We are 100-percent focused on providing the best possible products and service, and strengthening the WiSpots brand."
WiSpots was seen by millions of viewers on the premiere episode of ABC's "Shark Tank" television show in 2009, and has been featured on local television news and in local newspapers in the Raleigh market.
