William Monroe, Acting Head of Chicago FBI Office, Joins Health Care Service Corporation's Fraud Unit as Vice President, Corporate Investigations
HCSC Intensifies Efforts to Protect Customers Against Health Insurance Fraud and Abuse
CHICAGO, Nov. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) today announced that William Monroe, a twenty-year FBI Veteran, will join the company as vice president, corporate investigations in HCSC's special investigations and security department. In this role, Monroe will be responsible for key areas of corporate investigations for HCSC and its subsidiaries. This position will provide oversight of the Special Investigations staff in developing programs designed to prevent, detect and investigate fraudulent activities. Monroe will report to Bob Walsh, vice president, Special Investigations and Corporate Security.

Monroe has more than twenty years of experience as a law enforcement professional with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), including more than 12 years in a management position. Most recently, Monroe served as the acting special agent in charge of the FBI's Chicago Field Office. Prior to that, he held such positions as assistant special agent in charge and supervisory special agent.

Monroe holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin. He also has extensive training through executive education programs with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
