LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wildfox announces the arrival of its Spring 15 collection of gypsy-inspired tees, sweaters, denim, and swimwear. Adventurous, worldly, spontaneous: all words that describe the Wildfox girl. Each piece expresses a love for the world and the cultures that inhabit it, which will surely spark wanderlust far beyond the sartorial eye.
Creative Director, Kimberley Gordon, says, "This past year was quite a turbulent one for me, and it seems maybe for the world also! I think I had this overall feeling of wanting to escape and live off the land, I visualized a group of girls with a whole lot of passion and fearlessness and absolutely nothing to lose. They would beg, borrow, and steal their way through countries, hypnotizing boys and working odd jobs to make a little money. Their lives were only for each other and themselves, there was a sense of freedom in designing this collection, a way for me to feel it along with them."
Brought to life in a campaign photographed by Mark Hunter, Spring 15 tells the story of three girls, played by models Clara Settje, Alyssah Ali, and Jena Goldsack, who begin their adventure camping in Northern California's Lake Tahoe. Endless days of swimming, fishing, and floating on the river; nights of storytelling, mapping their next destinations, and drinking wine by the fire.
A collection intended to be mixed, matched – even mismatched; sun-bleached pastel and bold primary colors are used as a backdrop for ethnic prints, globally influenced graphics, and travel-inspired sayings. New for spring are the Campfire sweatshirt is a super soft and light terrycloth sweater featuring a roomy, relaxed fit with a scoop neck, banded hems, and comes in an allover purple and blue sublimated tile print. The super soft and slightly stretchy Campfire leggings, which are long john-style sweats featuring a drop-crotch, button detailing, ties at each hip, and banding at waist and ankles. The Cozy thermal features a scoop neck with Henley-style buttons, long sleeves with banded hems, and an extra roomy, a-lined body with a rounded hem – offered in an allover, sublimated, red floral print.
Also new for spring are a number of fun tees and tanks with ethnic prints and witty quotes, great for layering or worn on their own. The Folk Heart Travelers Crew is a loose-fitting light tee made in our heather jersey blend and features a spooky, barbed anatomical heart graphic surrounded by floral embellishments across the front. The cropped Hiker tank is made of a soft and airy ribbed cotton blend and features the phrase I Left My Heart In Bali across the front. The cozy Mexico Jersey tunic is the ultimate vacation top to wear while lounging around reading a book or throw on over a bikini after a day in the sun.
