COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- White Castle is proud to introduce its latest taste sensation with the launch of its new line of Belgian Waffle sandwiches, which are available in three delectable varieties. The Belgian Waffles in our new sandwich are authentic and imported from Brussels, Belgium from a supplier that began making waffles in 1932.
The sweet, fluffy breakfast waffles serve up freshly cracked eggs and are topped with a choice of bacon and cheese or sausage and cheese. These fresh waffle sandwiches are available during breakfast hours only.
White Castle also is offering the new Chicken and Waffle sandwich, which is served all day at all restaurants.
"The Chicken and Waffle sandwich is a southern-inspired recipe with a tasty combination of our breaded chicken breast, sweet Belgian waffles and creamy gravy topped with bacon crumbles," said White Castle Executive Chef Phillip Bach.
The Belgian Waffle sandwiches soon will be served at more than 400 White Castle locations, but are available for a limited time only. Last fall, all three of these delicious Belgian Waffle sandwiches were tested in all Indianapolis White Castle restaurants and quickly sold out.
Over the past century, the Belgian supplier's bakery has grown in size and capacity, but has never abandoned the basic method or artisan style of production. These sweet, tender waffles are made with the finest ingredients on old-fashioned gas-fired waffle irons.
To round out the new breakfast menu, White Castle is offering two mini Belgian Waffles with Mrs. Butterworth's syrup. Also new to the breakfast menu, guests can order oatmeal with two options, either a honey-roasted almond or berry blend topping.
The new offerings represent the continued development of White Castle's menu from its test kitchen. White Castle, long known for The Original Slider®, offers a complete breakfast menu starting at midnight at most Castles running through 10:30 a.m.
"We're continuing to meet the demands of our Cravers and offer new, innovative menu items," said Chef Bach. "Our test kitchen plays a large role in attracting new customers and keeping our current Cravers coming back by developing tasty, unique offerings that you can only find at White Castle."
The Belgian Waffle sandwiches from the White Castle test kitchen offer customers more sensational breakfast choices that will keep Cravers coming back for more and exclusively for all Cincinnati White Castle restaurants, breakfast is served 24/7. White Castle listened and responded to customers' ideas and feedback that has allowed the family-owned business to grow and continue its success for more than 90 years.
