Westfield World Trade Center To Officially Open August 16th
Within the Santiago Calatrava designed Oculus, and spanning the equivalent of nine city blocks, the center will be the home to more than 100 global brands showcasing the very best New York has to offer-- all in one landmark setting.
Westfield hosts Grand Opening "Family Day" celebration beginning at 12 pm
NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Destined to become one of the world's most visited retail destinations and a landmark instantly identifiable in Lower Manhattan and New York City, Westfield will celebrate the Grand Opening of its World Trade Center location on Tuesday, August 16th 2016, with a majority of retail stores opening for the first time at 12 noon that day.

Family Day Celebration
The free, open-to-the-public Family Day celebration will start at 12:00 noon and run until 6:00 PM and feature fun, family friendly activities throughout the center's retail stores, hourly stage performances in the Oculus by a host of cultural icons and arts organizations, as well as samplings from the center's amazing selection of food vendors. The day will kick off just before 12:00 noon with a special flag commemoration ceremony held in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Also invited to participate in the day's celebration, in collaboration with the 9/11 Tribute Center and HEART 9/11 and with support from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, will be families and individuals having a special connection with the World Trade Center site.
