West Georgia Health Selects Agilum Hospital Finance Business Intelligence System

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- West Georgia Health, a 276-bed hospital located in LaGrange, Georgia recently announced they selected Agilum Healthcare Intelligence to help further their goals to improve patient care, maximize quality, and improve operating efficiencies within each of their service lines.

According to Paul Aasen, Controller at West Georgia Health, "The patient is at the center of everything we do. • Improve pricing capabilities – as consumerism expands, patients have become more savvy about pricing and West Georgia Health must set procedure prices accordingly which requires transparency into real costing metrics
• Optimize physician performance – by comparing performance to best practices, West Georgia Health will be better equipped to ensure care is being handled efficiently
• Track continuity of care – West Georgia Health plans to use Agilum to follow a patient's care path from the time a physician refers that patient into the health system through the various services and levels of care rendered
