Guide to newly published Directive 2011/65/EU

On July 1, the Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS Directive Recast) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The original text was approved by the EU Parliament on November 24, 2010. However, the original text was not approved by the EU Commission in December of 2010. Additional changes were made to RoHS Recast in April of 2011. The new changes were approved by the EU Parliament, EU Council, and EU Commission in May of 2011. The new Directive will go into effect January 2 2013.
