The Sichuan province signed contracts for 307 projects, with a total investment of RMB 368.82 billion, accounting for 65.5% of the total contracted investment. Fu Yan, deputy director of Sichuan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, said that Sichuan signed formal contracts instead of letters of intent or framework agreements this year. Fu said, "These projects will be carried out throughout Sichuan province. Compared with the last WCIF, the 14th WCIF was held in an economical way, with number of guests, scale of activities, area of exhibitions and related expenditures reduced by 10% to 68%."
The 15th WCIF will be held in Chengdu in late October 2014.
