WatchGuard Shares Security Best Practices for Real-World Threats at Gartner Symposium ITxpo
Three Theater Sessions Open to All Attendees Oct. 22-24
SEATTLE, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Security experts from WatchGuard Technologies and NCR will present three sessions on security challenges and best practices at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo in Orlando. The session topics will range from achieving PCI compliance to securing virtual networks and an overview of baseline tactics for eliminating the majority of security breaches using tools most businesses already have.
WatchGuard speakers will include Dave Taylor, vice president of corporate strategy, who will discuss the dangers of firewall misconfiguration and Corey Nachreiner, director of security strategy, who will present best practices for keeping networks secure when working in the cloud and an ever changing virtual space. A session will also be presented by a WatchGuard customer, Erika Thomas, product management director at NCR, who will discuss the management of manifold PCI DSS-compliant networks and best practices in making PCI manageable across multi-thousand, large-scale deployments.
Symposium attendees will also be able to stop by WatchGuard's booth (#544) to preview new WatchGuard solutions designed to enhance efficiencies in security appliance configuration and deployment. WatchGuard team members will share how the new capability will enable rapid deployment and significantly reduce total cost of ownership for any organization or solution provider supporting multiple sites.
