Wanted: An Embassy to Welcome Extraterrestrials' Return to Earth
Raelians file official request with White House and U.N.
LAS VEGAS, April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Representatives of the International Raelian Movement (IRM) are officially handing over to the White House today a project file for construction of an embassy that would welcome an extraterrestrial civilization back to Earth. Copies of the file will also be given to the U.S. State Department and the United Nations Council on Foreign Relations.
''The request of the Raelian Movement is for approximately four square kilometers (1.55 square miles) of land on which to construct the embassy, plus full extraterritoriality rights for it in the host country and a pre-established no-fly zone for the airspace surrounding it," said Thomas Kaenzig, the U.S. Raelian representative for the E.T. Embassy Project, in a statement released today by the IRM.
Why build an embassy for extraterrestrials?
"The U.S. government and all other governments around the world know that an extraterrestrial civilization has been making itself known for a long time," Kaenzig explained. "By allowing so many of their UFOs and crop circles to be observed and documented by both the public and Earth's military forces, these extraterrestrials have been preparing humanity gradually for open contact. It's time to acknowledge that and build an embassy to welcome them here officially, on behalf of humanity."
At 4 p.m., on Saturday April 4, in Santa Monica, a scale model and a computerized animation of the proposed embassy will be presented during a free lecture at Santa Monica College, in room 214 of the Art Building at 1900 Pico Blvd. Free copies of the E.T. Embassy project will be available.
