Walker's Automotive Partners with Studio Four Design to Build New Body Shop

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker's Automotive, a Knoxville-based automotive company, partnered with Studio Four Design, a top Knoxville architecture and design firm, to build a distinctive building design that provides a unique experience to customers and insurance companies. The 50,000 sq. ft. auto body shop located at 10606 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, differentiates itself from typical auto shops with its comfortable, inviting and warm atmosphere.

The layout of the building was designed with customers and insurance companies in mind – creating a space with intuitive design and furnished in a modern, yet functional fashion. The shop gets most of its referrals from insurance companies who want to refer clients to a modern, state-of-the-art auto shop. While auto shops can feel dirty, cramped, and are poorly lit, Studio Four Design worked with Merit Construction to add large windows for natural light, to benefit to both customers and mechanics.

The interior maintains the modern look with sleek white walls and polished concrete floors. Studio Four's design team installed state-of-the-art lighting to help create a warm experience for Walker's customers. To better serve the mechanics, the work space was also expanded for specific functions.
