PRINCE GEORGE, Va., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- VSP Technologies congratulates Vice President of Engineering & Sales Jerry Waterland for receiving the 2015 ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping Conference CT/Bolted Joints Technical Committee Outstanding Technical Paper award for his paper "Buckling and Lateral Pressures in Spiral Wound Gaskets." The paper details FEA (finite element analysis) and experimental research on the force dynamics that lead to buckling and distortion failure in spiral wound gaskets.
