VPE Public Relations Wins Dos y Dos Account
LOS ANGELES, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- VPE Public Relations was recently named agency of record for Dos y Dos, a live-action television series recorded in Spanish and English for children ages two through seven. Dos y Dos is produced by the Latin American Multimedia Corporation (LAMC).
"We are very excited about this partnership with VPE. It will allow us to expand our business to the Americas and become the leader in providing responsible television for children," said LAMC's President, Everett R. Hernandez, Jr.
Dos y Dos, which recently won two Parents Choice awards and a Parents Television Council Award, incorporates music, dance and learning in both Spanish and English. The five Dos y Dos characters interact with the TV audience and the Imagination Room where fantasy characters come to life. Through its appointment by LAMC, VPE Public Relations will work to increase and generate awareness of the Dos y Dos brand and its multiple properties to international audiences. Along with the TV programming, Dos y Dos properties include music CDs, DVDs, merchandising, books and live performances.
"The timing is perfect for Dos y Dos. Hispanics are the largest minority group and account for 25 percent of children younger than five in the United States," said VPE partner Patricia Perez. "Plus, many parents want their children to be bilingual and this transcultural program helps children learn both English and Spanish, a great combination."
Debuting in early October 2009, Dos y Dos airs in 47 cities across the U.S., including 19 of the top 21 Hispanic markets. In the U.S., the show can be seen every Saturday and Sunday morning on LATV (the Latin American Television Network). Dos y Dos has begun an International deployment and will begin airing in Puerto Rico this May (Telemundo) and in Ecuador toward the end of 2010.
