ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- VOXX International Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX), today announced that it is now HIPAA compliant, a major milestone for the organization as it continues to build out its strategic partnerships and product offerings, for the healthcare and corporate wellness markets.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a federal law that provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information and other personal health information. VOXX's move to become HIPAA complaint enables the Company to more efficiently integrate with HIPAA-covered organizations the Company does business with today, while expanding opportunities with other HIPAA-covered organizations.
