Vormetric Names George H. Chew as New Head of Asia-Pacific

SINGAPORE, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Vormetric, a leader in enterprise data security for physical, virtual and cloud environments, today announced the appointment of George H. Chew as vice president, Asia-Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore. He will report to Alan Kessler, president and CEO.

In this newly created role, Chew will be responsible for all aspects of Vormetric's  business activities across the APAC region, including customer engagement, sales development, training and enablement, strategic planning and revenue growth.

Chew brings more than 25 years' experience in field sales leadership and execution to his role. He was most recently with Oracle where he held senior sales leadership positions with responsibility for Oracle Virtual Desktop and Cloud Solutions within both APAC and EMEA, more than tripling sales in every APAC region he led.  Prior to joining Oracle, Chew held senior sales roles at Sun Microsystems and IBM Tivoli.
