Viveport Arcade Manager
Viveport Arcade Manager is HTC Vive's proprietary content management and distribution platform for developers and operators looking to introduce out-of-home VR experiences to the public, such as VR arcades or entertainment destinations. The comprehensive software solution provides both a front-end consumer interface and a backend that tracks usage data, manages sales and offers a secure billing solution for developers and operators.
Since launch, Viveport Arcade Manager has been in trial with over 50 operators in 15+ countries and boasts of over 700 titles. Today the VR arcade platform announced it is entering open beta. Based on feedback, new upgrades have been made to Viveport Arcade Manager to the benefit of developers and operators alike. Developer revenue share for Viveport Arcade Manager will increase from 50% to 70% in addition to all developers receiving all profits during the holidays. Viveport Scene SDK
Today, Viveport announced the early release of the Viveport Scene SDK, a new toolset that will help developers create immersive VR Previews that will be showcased in Viveport. The Viveport Scene SDK will allow developers to engage customers with their content before purchase or rental, by generating:
- VR Previews: Rich and interactive 3D environments streamed dynamically to the viewer on Viveport to increase engagement and customer conversion.
- VR Skyboxes: Immersive "360 preview images" that surround the user as they browse the content grid in the Viveport store.
