ATLANTA, March 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- InComm, a leading provider of integrated point-of-sale (POS) technology solutions to retailers, announced that they have integrated VISA ReadyLink into Walmart's Rapid Reload network of prepaid card programs. Now Visa reloadable prepaid cardholders can add funds to their general purpose reloadable (GPR) cards at participating Walmart stores and continue to enjoy a cost-effective reload solution that is simple, safe and secure.
"The integration of Visa ReadyLink with Walmart's Rapid Reload delivers on InComm's vision to expand the swipe reload technology and streamline the customer experience at the register, simplify the sales process for employees and increase retail foot traffic," said Jeff Lewis, Vice President and General Manager, Financial Services, InComm. "As more consumers adopt GPR cards for everyday use, whether as a bank alternative or a budgeting tool, InComm will continue to invest in technologies, retailers and partner programs to deliver convenience, efficiency and secure shopping experiences."
Walmart's Rapid Reload serves a multitude of GPR cards and prepaid programs, empowering millions of customers with the ability to reload their cards with a simple swipe directly at the register, eliminating the need for a multi-step process of purchase and subsequent redemption of a separate reload pack. Visa ReadyLink serves over 100 prepaid programs, which will further expand Walmart's Rapid Reload consumer base. For customers, the launch will enable them to add funds to their cards using cash or check for a $3.74 reload fee.
"Visa ReadyLink is pleased to join forces with Walmart to offer millions of prepaid consumers a convenient, low-cost alternative to load funds to their accounts," said Cecilia Frew, Head of US Prepaid Products, Visa. "With consumers increasingly adopting GPR cards, Visa is committed to providing simple and convenient reload solutions to offer innovative ways for consumers to shop and pay."
