VIRURL's Native Advertising Tool Surges To Over 100,000 Influencers
VIRURL, a Santa Monica start-up, surpasses 100,000 influencers and continues to scale its content marketing tool.
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of closing it's $1.2M in seed financing, VIRURL (https://VIRURL.com) today announced that it has registered over 100,000 web influencers and publishers since launching into beta in late 2011.
VIRURL, a real time content distribution marketplace, offers tools that allow influencers, blogs and publishers to share sponsored links with their audience. VIRURL advertisers select a cost per click, depending on time, content and the location of the click.
"By crafting a great user experience and ONLY accepting content as ads we have been able to complete phase one of the revolution. VIRURL has distributed over 3 million sponsored pieces of content across the web in just a few short months. The 82% growth rate in sign ups this month is a testament that influencers and publishers are searching for ways to monetize their audience. VIRURL will be leading this revolution," said Francisco Diaz-Mitoma, VIRURL's CEO and Co-Founder. "With our distribution base flourishing, we will begin onboarding more advertisers."
VIRURL launched with a select number of paying advertisers four months ago, and has over 1,000 advertiser requests waiting to launch VIRURL advertisements. Over 2,500 ads have been created over the last four months and that number is expected to rise dramatically as currently only a limited number of approved advertisers have been permitted to advertise on VIRURL.
VIRURL has been selected to present at the "Next Big Thing" conference at the Paley Media Center in New York, NY on September 20, 2012. For information on how to attend, contact the Paley Center at: http://www.paleycenter.org.
